We offer five different projection cubes which can be used with the Cubex projector, all of them related to Astronomy.
NORMAL STARFIELD CUBE
This is a projection of the celestial sphere where you can see stars down to magnitude 5. This is the ideal magnitude limit for teaching the basic elements of astronomy, including the stars and the basic constellations. It avoids projecting an immense number of fainter stars, such as one would see from a country location. This is the standard cube that is furnished with the Cubex projector. There is a northern hemisphere version as well as one for the southern hemisphere. Customers who purchase the projector receive the appropriate cube for the hemisphere in which they are located.
Normal Starfield
CELESTIAL COORDINATES
This projection is similar to the previous one, but superimposed over the stars is the celestial coordinate grid which includes Right Ascension, Declination, Ecliptic, Celestial Equator and both Celestial Poles. There is a northern hemisphere version as well as one for the southern hemisphere.

CONSTELLATIONS
This is the same projection as the normal cube, but it shows the limits of the 88 constellations as well as lines which connect the main stars of each constellation. There is a northern hemisphere version as well as one for the southern hemisphere.

URBAN NIGHT SKY
This is a projection of the celestial sphere such as one would view it as if from a city or urban location, where fewer stars are seen because of light and air pollution. It shows stars down to the 4th magnitude. This is the urban sky that most students are familiar with. There is a northern hemisphere version as well as one for the southern hemisphere.
Urban Night Sky
COUNTRY NIGHT SKY
This is a projection of the celestial sphere such as one would view it as if from a location in the country or from a location where there is no light or air pollution. It shows students the real night sky, the sky that was seen by our ancestors who did not have their view obscured by light or air pollution, as exists today. This shows stars down to the 6th magnitude and includes the Milky Way. There is a northern hemisphere version as well as one for the southern hemisphere.
